The American Version of Bingo |
The American version of the game of internet bingo is based on seventy-five numbers. This is the game that toy salesman Edwin Lowes restructured and developed six thousand unique cards for in the 1920s.
Lowes designed the game on a five number by five number grids with the letters of the word bingo across the top. Each column has a certain range of numbers with B having numbers one through fifteen; I has numbers sixteen through thirty; N has numbers thirty-one through forty-five; G has numbers forty-six through sixty and O has numbers sixty-one through seventy-five.
The middle of the N column has a Free Spot that can be used to complete a online bingo in a variety of ways. A regular internet bingo occurs when there is one vertical, diagonal or horizontal line completed and in some case four corners is considered to be a regular bingo.
The term card is used to denote the slip of paper containing the grid that the game is played on. The square nature of the gird lends itself to the making of many different patterns which can be letters, numbers or shapes. This allows for a great deal of variety in the game. Most players buy their entry card and then a book of cards for regular game play. They may also buy extra cards so they play between thirty to forty cards per game. Some special games require the purchase of additional cards which represent and additional cost.
The American version of the online casino bingo game is played in most countries with the exception of the United Kingdom, Australia and Ireland. |
